Proposal for Weekend Away 2007 "" Lake District

Date: 19th & 20th May 2007.
Destination: Lake District.
Overnight Stop: 19th May, Middle Ruddings Hotel, Braithwaite (2 miles west of Keswick).
Format: Meet at 11.00am Barnard Castle market place on the Saturday morning.
Drive to Middle Ruddings Hotel, Braithwaite, stopping for tea-break/snack/place of interest en route.
After check in, a scenic drive will be planned for the afternoon.
The evening meal will be taken at the Hotel, and afterwards we can relax and otherwise enjoy ourselves. A quiz devised by Moira Ford will form part of the evening's entertainment.
The following day after breakfast and checkout, there will be another route planned (for those who wish to participate) for the return journey, which should include nice scenery, good driving roads, visit to a place/places of interest, stop-off for lunch, etc, before returning home on the Sunday afternoon. People wanting to drive straight home or do their own thing will of course be free to do so.

Cost: Price per person for bed & breakfast at the Hotel will be £39. Three-course evening meal at the hotel will be approximately £15.

They have 9 doubles, 3 twins, and one single. 2 of the double rooms have an extra bed in, which makes them triples if required. The twin-bedded rooms can have the single beds put together to make doubles, if required.

Drop me a line at r3@porscheclubgb.com if interested.
