Six cars and eight club members managed to get up early on a Sunday morning for a run out. Conditions were great, with a few damp patches, but mostly dry and clear of any mist. Not too much traffic either.
There was a good mix of cars with three 996's (three different versions), a 964 Turbo, a Boxter S and a 968 (where's that white 928 I saw last week?).
We travelled to Castletown first, down the Ballakaighen straight on the Southern 100 course to Cross-Four-Ways and the Ballamodha, then joining the TT course at Ballacraine. We then followed the TT course to Ramsey, over the mountain road and back to the Grandstand. We then went to the NSC for some coffee and a chat.
For all those who are coming over for this years Manx Tour; here are some pictures of our run to wet your appetite. Thanks to Pete for the in-car photography.
The very keen, early ones.
The others managed to get out of their beds too. Roof down on the Boxster..... brave, it wasn't warm!
Up from Bray Hill
Castletown
He won't stop here, at the back, for too long.
Ramsey
Ramsey Hairpin coming up
Mountain Road
Hillberry. Slow down now!
Back to the Grandstand
Going for a coffee...
Enjoyed by all, going from the smiley faces when we got back to the Grandstand.
Thanks to Dave Shadwell for organising the run.
