[FONT=verdana, geneva"]Our alternative social calendar in place of the Winter Evening get together at Beverley Golf Club kicks off in 2022 on Saturday February 19th when we invite all members to a Curry Evening at the Mumbai Lounge, Shiptonthorpe on 19th February 2022 at 7pm.[FONT=verdana,geneva"][FONT=verdana,geneva"] [FONT=verdana,geneva"][attachment=Mumbai-Lounge-Shiptonthorpe.jpg]
[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Please find below details of the group set menu that the Mumbai Lounge has on offer.

This is based on an individual starter per guest, then a selection of main dishes served 'banquet style' i.e., the four different dishes listed are served for every four people in the group, with side dishes, rice & naan bread served as accompaniment.

For vegetarian diners in the group, we will offer non-meat alternatives (such as mixed veg pakura starter, equivalent range of spicing levels of mixed veg main dishes) if you let us know numbers beforehand.

Likewise if we have any diners with other special dietary requirements. Chef can also 'tone up or down' the level of spicing if the balance of the dishes below is not quite right for the group.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Set Menu - GBP 24.90 per head

- Papadums and Pickle Tray
- Starter - per person - Mix Starter (consists of Chicken Tikka, Sheek Kebab, Lamb Tikka and Baari Combi)
- Main Dishes - per four people - Balti Butter Chicken (mild); Jaley Piaza (hot taste); Chicken Tikka Massalla (mild); Shalimar Kharni (medium)
- Side Dishes - per four people - Sag Paneer (Spinach and home made cheese); Mumbai Aloo
- Selection of Rice and Naans

We have space for up to sixty diners, if you are interested in attending please let me know with your names, phone and email contact details at r7eastriding@gmail.com so I can give chef an idea before we arrive.

(The menu represents a considerable saving on ordering the equivalent meal from their a la carte menu, and also saves time on a busy night - not just while ordering, but also when the food comes to your table and people can't remember exactly what they ordered).

Sorry to hear of the delay, "every cloud" as they say

Due to the weather we're going to give it a miss tonight I'm afraid. Hope you all have a great time though and have an extra Naan for me.

Hi Peter,

Sorry for late notice but we are not going to make it tonight.
We were traveling up with Adam and Karen, but weather here is horrendous.
Hope you all have a great curry and evening.

Thanks
Richard and Christine

Hi Peter,
With it being about an 1 hr 15m drive for us and the weather I am afraid we are not going to risk the journey this evening.
Sorry to let you down at short notice.
Kind Regards
Brian & Lynne

Val and I will be going to the Mumbai Lounge this evening, the sun is shining here despite the wintery weather, we must have been fortunate with the climate again in the Flamborough triangle.

It’s been snowing heavily all afternoon in York, but it has stopped now and the sun has come out and all melting very quickly, does not look as though it is going to lay for long, if that helps anyone wondering what the weather is like at this end.
