May 22nd 11.00 a.m R7 Sunday Service - Buckden (BD23 5JA)
This is the first of our Sunday services that we will be running throughout the driving season. The idea is that we will pick a spot somewhere in different parts of the Region and aim to be there for 11.00am and will spend at least an hour in the location. We will also be armed with a camp frying pan and a supply of bacon!

May Venue
Buckden Car Park is situated on the outskirts of Buckden village on the B6160 just on from Kettlewell. We will be in the car park from 11.00 armed with Bacon butties.

If you are planning on coming then just post below to give us a vague idea of how much bacon and buns to bring, but this is supposed to be a relaxed impromptu morning out, so please feel free to just turn up.

Sorry Mark, can't make this one, we'll be on the club trip to the Isle of Man .

Does anyone fancy meeting up on the north side of Leeds - say at Horseforth, Bramhope or similar. Then going via Ilkley, Bolton Abbey, Burnsall etc up to Buckden?

The A65 through Ilkey is a tedious drag, and although the road through Wharfedale past Bolton Abbey is very pretty opportunities for safe overtaking are sparce so you are likely to find yourself in a bimbling convoy.
Better options are to go to Blubberhouses either up Washburn Valley from Pool (B6451) or the road north out of Otley.
Then via Thruscross to Greenhow and east along B6265 to Grassington

what sort of time are you thinking of going?

Quite happy to follow your suggestion.
I thought to meet at Lawnswood Arms on A660 Otley Road at about 9:30. This gives a chance to stop off on route to Buckden in Grassington or similar en route.
Peter

New to the club and away from home most Wednesadys so unable to make club nights. Thinking of coming along tomorrow and would welcome the opportunity to join your Lawnswood meet and drive through to Buckden if possible.
Best Regards
Dave Burton

Slight alteration - can we meet at 9:30 at Stephen Smiths garden centre on the A659, so that I can fill up at the Shell
station in Pool.

Please post if that ok with you

Well it looks to be a good turnout tomorrow morning so it looks like we are going to be busy.

We have 40 portions of bacon butties ready to cook up, so lets hope it's enough, yikes [:D]

The weather forecast has improved dramatically and it is nice and toasty outside. See you all in the morning.

I may well come over from the R18 region in the morning if I can escape the mad house in time. I realise there may only be crumbs left....

Might possibly make it to Stephen Smiths but don't wait for me as I'm a little last minute when it comes to plans

Looking forward to seeing some new faces and motors.
