Region 3’s annual concours, will form our August Sunday service with an R7 bring and share picnic.

To make a good picnic we need a good mixture of savouries (sandwiches and other nibbles such as chicken , pork pies, crisps) and puddings. Therefore we suggest that if your car was registered in an even year then bring savouries, if it was registered in an odd year then bring puddings.

Please bare in mind that last year we could have fed the entire field, and therefore we suggest that everyone brings enough to feed two people and hopefully this will work out.

Sadly we are unable to attend this year's event but you will be looked after by Jon Clayton (Black 991 with rear spoiler).

Meet up at Wetherby Services at 9.00, leaving about 09.30, to drive up together. We are planning to arrive around 11.15 and have lunch about 12.00.

Witton Castle can be found at Sloshes Ln, Witton-le-Wear, Bishop Auckland DL14 0DE. We would suggest heading up the A1 to J58 and then follow the A68 to High Everly. Towards the bottom of the village turn left and this takes you straight to the Witton Castle entrance. This left turn is brown signed but it is hard to spot.

Entry to the event is free.

Liz and Rob are going, we are just taking our own food, we're both fussy and it may cut down on a food mountain! However, i am willing to share my big table, a proper Porsche has room for a table and chairs!!
