Hi everyone -

Anyone going to Raby Castle this Sunday ?

Suggest the 'southern' group of members meet at M1 Woolley Services - North ( between J38 and J39) around 9.30am and then on to meet others at 10.30am at Little Chef just north of A168 junction on A1.

See you all on Sunday - picnic table and chairs at the ready !

Happy motoring - Randolph Coward

Hi Randolph, welcome back. Hope you had a good holiday. Adam /Irene & Mark/Maggie are meeting at Ferrybridge services at 9.30. Neil and Lizzie might be joining them. Didn't take too much notice as I won't be meeting them there. You might want to get in touch with one of them to meet together either at Ferrybridge or Wooley Edge.

Hi Randolph,

As Ian says, we have already made arrangements to meet at services on junction between M62 & A1 at 09h30.

Mark & Maggie definitely meeting irene & I there, not sure what other parties will be joining us.
We would then meet up with the rest at the Little Chef at 10h30.

How do you feel about cancelling Woolley and joining our meeting point

Regards

Adam

Things look to be taking shape nicely......

The plan, as per the club night, is to meet at the Little Chef near Dishforth/A168 (its the one with the Burger King attached for those who miss breakfast!).

I suggest 10am for a steady drive there. I have no idea where it is so I better get the maps out as i thought it was near Stokesley and Martin says its west of the A1 so there we go.

I post again with firm details but even without all will come good by 10am on Sunday[;)]

Lizzie and I will be meeting at Ferrybridge services and look forward to the day out.

Neil & Lizzie

The little chef / services are located just after where the 3 lane section of the A1 reverts back to 2 lane

Sorry James it was the Raby castle venue i was struggling to remember the location of..... Any ideas??

Staindrop

Head up the A1 to Scotch Corner, continue past Scotch corner and take the next turn off to Piercebidge. At the roundabout take the 1st exit to Piercebridge. Continue along this road until you reach teh 'T' junction in Piercebridge. Turn left, then 50 meteres later at the next 'T' turn left againn. Follow this road through & out of Gainford. Take the next 'right' ( can't remember teh road number' ) and follow the road to Staindrop. At the Junction turn right and the entrance for Raby is 100 m on the left.

This should make sense if you look at a map [:)]

Hi -

Adam - cancell Woolley Services meet and will now join you and 'the gang' at Ferrybridge services on A1.

Wayne - P. Post says meet at 10.30am at Little Chef - should we not stay with that time ?

Happy motoring - Randolph Cowars

Ok you can have an extra 1/2 hour of your Sunday morning in bed......... [;)]

Just to scare you all we could take the familar route thru Masham, Reeth, Over tops to A66, barnard castle and then Raby castle.....or if you prefer the A1?

We'll stick at 10.30 but I'm sure it was 10 on the club night when i was press ganged into sorting this[]

I'll have a map at the services to sort this out just in case. I take it picnics are essential?

Wayne

We haven't decided which route "Fiona" wants to take - (Fiona is my special offer from Aldi - £229 for sat nav) Have entered Guisborough, Darlington and Staindrop as final destination - if we get lost round Teesside I want my money back[:)][:)][:)]

So unless anyone is going from the Scarborough area it looks like we'll be on our own over the moors, as usual.

Hi Wayne -

Picnics are essential and a picnic table and chairs are now 'highly desirable' accessaries.

I presume Maggie will be bringing the large table cloth and I will be bringing my 'posh' table decoration.

Happy motoring - Randolph Coward

Is it free entrance to the Raby event? I may join for the run up there but won't be staying long at the event. Weather permitting,

Nige

Hi Nigel -

Not free entrance.

I understand cost is £3.50 per person (group rate) for entry to Park and Gardens - House is extra.

Happy motoring - Randolph Coward

Thinking of Masham and Reeth? I'd better pack the flying helmet and check the landing gear as well as the picnic gear!!

See you all at the Little Chef all being well.

Already bought a table and chairs so Maggie had better get the tablecloth streached to fit [8D]

Shall we fetch the table dressings, candelabra etc............and perhaps a small waiter or two (they'll have to fit in the
