RABY CASTLE 18/09/2011 50 YEARS OF PORSCHE R3 CELEBRATIONS

Hi Guys, Looking for ideas and different models for our R3 Raby Castle 50 years of Porsche display.
My first thought (please feel free to tell me it's rubbish).
The Clock of Ages 12 models of Porsche in a circle. Starting with Peter's 356 as number 1, following round, to the most modern cars we have available to us. Would like to include a Panamera &  Cayenne if possible.
I would like to display the history of each type or  model and where possible any interesting photos or stories about each car.

Peter has very kindly offered to bring his beautiful car so I am now looking for other models or types to follow on.
I think this display would look good as a centre piece to our show and shine display competion and have other cars  parked around this,
Anyone wishing to take part in this display or our R3 Concours competion or has any other ideas please feel free to PM me.

Also any vehicles wishing to enter the show and shine can still be part of this display and have their car judged within this area.
This year we also have a visitors class for our show and shine so all welcome.

Best wishes Greg.

Hi Greg Include mine in the display & also the Show & Shine class please, it looks like it will be a good one !!! [:D] Cheers Paul

Thanks for volunteering guys. All offers welcome & will be included. Keep them coming! Greg

Hi Greg, I'll be along as per the last two years for the show and shine if OK? You can use my car for the display if you need and if it fits in? Cheers Chris

I'll be keeping mine in the public car park!! lol Will be attending the show so look forward to seeing what you display on the stand, sadly probably still won't be a member by then still a lot to spend on the car before the summer ends, or starts for that matter!

Almost 200 hits for our Raby event and still only a handful of North East members (the steadfast hardened supporters of R3) offering support. After a fantastic start to this year with loads of new drives and events I ask that you support your club. If no one bothers and just leaves it to someone else, nothing gets done. Nothing can be changed to help you enjoy your club if we have little or no feedback. This after all is your club. I am sure we would all like to see this as one of the best gatherings in the country, why travel hundreds of miles when you have it all here. Please join in the thread and show your support for our annual show and pledge to bring your Porsche (it is not a requirement to enter the show and shine) and let us make this a brilliant show that we can build on year after year.

Hi Greg, I'll be there. Be my first time without organising the TIPEC convoy, but I'll leave that to them to sort out this time. Simon

Morning Greg, Couldn't remember if i'd said I'd be there but just in case I hadn't you can put me down. Thanks Chris

Hi Greg, there should be a few members coming up from R7 but don't know numbers yet. I will enquire at our meeting next week and let you know. John

As we indicated to you at Silverstone, all being well, we could have a few cars coming from Lancashire too. We will let you know nearer the time. Just the small matter of the National event to deal with first.!! Only another 25 cars to find for that, and it's then plain sailing to Raby Castle (we hope).

Will the 'dent' man be there this time? Some charmer has opened their car door onto the landrover, leaving yellow paint and a dent so need to get it sorted. If not can anyone recommend anyone please? Cheers Julie

No sorry Julie, said it wasn't worth his while. I did ask! I have his number at work can text you it if you want it in the morning. Best wishes Greg.
