Hi folks as mentioned at the last meeting there is a classic car show at Raby on Saturday 2nd July. I have cut and pasted the information I have below. It is open to any member of the car club whether or not your car is a classic or modern with free entry if you pre-register. i will also try to attach the form but if it doesn't work then just contact Mike.
It is in aid of charity and there will be trade stands and other stuff going on I believe.

Cheers Julie

On Saturday 2nd of July the Raby Gala will be held in aid of the RMTGB.

This is a free event to classic cars their owners and all passengers. Public entry is £10 in advance and £15 on the day!

A major attraction to the Raby Gala will be a wonderful display of vehicles from times past, whether you are just a nostalgic, curious onlooker or an out and out petrol head there will be lots to view. Due to the popularity of this display at previous Galas we have allocated space for up to 300 vehicles of all makes and models. As an owner this is your chance to join in this fantastic Display to show off your pride and joy and be a part of this great event, helping to raise much needed funds for our 2021 Festival in aid of the Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys.

Only advanced entries for the show can be accepted, there is no charge to enter your vehicle, a Gala Rally Pass which gains access to the event for the driver and all passengers will be issued to each successful applicant, this pass completed with Registration No. & Name must be displayed on the vehicle windscreen at all times from entry. All vehicles are kindly requested to be in place by 09:30 am, gates will be open 8 o’clock.
(Please note should you wish to purchase a Gala Brochure, advance sales copy @ £10.00 are available on request, £15.00 on day of Event)

To receive a Gala Rally pass please return your completed booking form (including an A5 stamped self addressed envelope) to:

Thanks for posting this info Julie, sounds great. Unfortunately it looks like we may have a clash of events. Last year some of us went to Fishburn Airfield Wings and Wheels event which is also scheduled this year for the 2nd of July. This was a brilliant day out last year and free to exhibitors. The organisers have asked if we would have a stand again this year. Feedback was so enthusiastic after last year's event that I've already booked us a club stand. We can still put it to the members and see which they would prefer to attend. See info here
I know we've had some gripes before about Raby Castle as a venue, which is one of the reasons we moved our annual show from there.

No problem Greg it was just an idea really to help out Mike Peters friend who runs the MG car club and is organising it, plus it was free!!
As it is an individual thing then maybe there may be some for whom its more convenient if not nothing lost.
