A big thank you to all R3 members who helped out at Raby today, the numbers were down slightly on recent years undoubtedly due to the terrible weather earlier in the day. Thanks to John Hawkins and Specilaist Cars Malton who once again supported our event and the Show and Shine competition and for their very generous contribution to Lord Barnard's chosen charity.


Winner was Geoff Benson from Region 7 with a beautiful Guards red 911 3.2 Supersport
2nd Simon Bowe with his Baltic blue 911.3.2 up one place from 2009,
3rd Matthew O'Keefe with his first ever car and long time owned beautifully presented 924 LUX .


Finally once again thanks to Nick Stevenson for all his hard work over the past 7 years, he was the inspiration behind the Raby Castle and as he hands over the region we're in really good shape to go forward.

Well said Ashley, all went off rather well on the day shame about the weather. Well done to Nick,Neill and Ashley for organising the event and good luck to Nick for the future. Congratulations to Simon and Matthew on 2nd & 3rd in the show and shine [:'(] PS ALL VOLVOS SHOULD BE BANNED FROM THE PORSCHE INCLOSURE NEXT YEAR [;)]
 
I would like to add my congrats to everybody from the region on another good event ,although the weather did reduce the numbers,I thought there was a great atmosphere on the day and the possibility of some new members joining us.Heres to an eventful and positive 2011. ps All the best Nick and thankyou.

Great pics Greg, and well done all who put the time in to get the event on. Despite the downpour while setting up early on Sunday, we still got over 50 Porsches there during the day. Bigger and better next year then ! But dont ban Volvos (and Puegots - we did try and hide it in the trees !) from sneaking into the enclosure field - the big tent and equipment has to get there somehow ! Chris
