Ash, Came over from Cumbria and really enjoyed it, i have been coming for a few years now, i did not realise the bookstall was for charity as i would have brought donations and bought some, well done to John Hawkins for matching what was raised, i also did not realise Peter was sorting an aerial photo shoot, he mentioned a plane but it did not click. I want that 996 Turbo he has for sale, need to re mortgage and sell a child or two. Well done to you all, seems to be getting bigger by the year, nice to see the BMW lads also. Overall well done.................crazy weather !! Red hot one minute and stair rods the next ??

Hi all I just wanted to thank the members from R3 who made today's show such a success, a lot of effort behind the scenes and to top it off a lot of money raised for charity.

The Ladies on the book stall raised £115 for cancer research which was generously matched by our sponsor John Hawkins of Specialist Cars Malton, John also matched the £150 we raised on the gate which is donated to Lord Barnards charity. What a top bloke we are all extremely grateful John.

Thanks to all who turned up against a mixed weather forecast and were rewarded with some fabulously well prepared cars. Special thanks to our neighbours from Yorkshire and Lancashire & Cumbria regions for supporting our show.

Hope to see you all again next year.

Best Wishes
Ash

Ash The final total for the book stall when we got home was £ 260 .10 well done all Now have to find space for the other 1000 books we where denoted

Hi thanks for a great day, I was the Boxster Spyder owner pulled in at the last minute. Some lovely cars on show. A few people seemed to enjoy watching me take the roof on and off ha! Thanks again.

Beautiful car a real head turner, I saw your piston heads comment so knew you were coming, thanks for helping out with the display. Sorry I didn't get a chance to thank you in person. Why not get along to a club night we're a really friendly bunch Ash

As mentioned above, big thanks for yesterday, I could only stay a couple of hours but it was nice to see I had the only Orange/Blk RS for once, great turnout compared to last year too. I never saw you Ashley but I went to school with Chris! Catch up soon P

Thanks guys had a good time. The weather was mental but at least I got to sit outside with a picnic even if I did have to eat quickly!

Great day - a credit to all the hard work put in by so many. We both enjoyed it, even though June had consumed one too many eggs the previous day and had to return home early - but not before she had purchased 12 books from the bookstall ! - nearly as many as we donated - we will never get the shelves clear at this rate ! Thanks also to the ladies for the lovely grub. See you at the WOTY. Chris and June

Ash , what a great day, the 100 miles or so run from Blackpool missing out all but one junction of the M6 was brilliant . That A66 is a bit naughty though, no cameras and all that, it is nearly enough to make a "normally law abiding" person be inclined --- well you know. Thanks for all your hospitality, shelter from the storm and tea and cake, it is just what our club is all about. Even bought a tie from one of the rather nice traders and I don't wear ties (Mac). To cap it all Susan's rather splashed and deer droppinged 944 Cab was allowed to join in the 50 display and then after a frantic clean up won visitors class concours. We are starting to look like pot hunters. We went to Arley Hall last weekend and won the visitor's class there as well and also the extra trophy for the highest marks overall. Astonishing !! So we came home by any old road we could find and got about two inches of mud and farm slurry splattered up the rear wheel arches , it feels a lot better like that. We are off to Wales next weekend to try out the Evo triangle. Look forward to meeting up with you all again. Cheers the noo bonny lads and lassies Mac and Sue
