Anyone going straight up A1 from West Riding/Sheffield etc. ?

Just a chance I might be able to get to this one !

Andrew W.

No, but some of us are meeting at Tesco car park, Clifton Moor north of York on A1237 at 9am for 9.30 departure if you want to join us. John

Paul Certainly want to be there - however have had a dire summer - car not been out for 10 weeks! Are you and Jane appearing at Clifton Moor tomorrow a.m. ? Andrew W.

Just me I fear, too early for Lady Jane. I'm coming for the drive and will peal off somewhere on route; to be decided. Paul.

Shame Jane won't be there - equally a shame you are not going up to Raby - I understand that it is a really good venue - hopefully see you tomorrow. Andrew W.

Just back after an eventful day! Thanks to NE team for a really good event and to all who supported esp. ScofM. 2 quick questions. 1. Richard - did you get home okay after the tyre prob? 2. Paul - where did you disappear to ? Andrew W.

Andrew Posting on behalf of my dad Richard, I can report that everything is fine. I was with him with a wheel and trolley jack by 11, and he was home by 12. A pair of new tyres has been ordered this morning, so the car will be sorted very soon. Paul

Paul/Richard Good to hear - what it is to have an emergency store of wheels and tyres! You were both missed yesterday. Was there something in tyre? - it looked to me as though the side wall had just blown out - good job it was low speed - weren't original tyres at 28K but how old were they? Now then what happened to the other Paul ? Andrew W.

Andrew, Paul on behalf of Richard again. The tyre damage was caused by debris in the road which pierced the side wall. A new pair are being put on tomorrow. As a matter of interest where did you have your wheel alignement done after the new dampers / springs were fitted to your car?

Ninemeisters at Warrington, they fitted springs etc. - Robin there is first class and really wants to know what you are going to use the car for and then provides it. Andrew W.

Andrew, After the diversion at Easingwold (Richards puncture) I was caught behind a slow convoy behind you. Saw you disappearing into the distance at one point but never got close, so took my turn off home at Northallerton. Glad you had an enjoyable day. Paul Hunter: I had new front Powerflex bushes fitting at RPM Knaresborough. They sub'd 4-wheel alignment to TRACKtorque Racing at Tockwith. The car is transformed. Paul.
