Now that the warranty is up and no longer have Porsche assist was wondering what is the best organization to go with ....thanks in advance

I'm with the AA, and they have always been excellent.
Greig swears by the RAC (although I hear that they swear about him! [:D] )

AA for me, that is the Automobile Association, (not the other lot which are on the first Thursday of the month at the Dakota. Contact Jane for details.[;)])

Used them with regularity over the last month or two.

Still laughing! [:D][:D] Jane must have a very thick skin to put up with all the abuse.....

Don't forget that you get 25% discount with the AA on joining, and 10% every year after.

I'd go with the RAC - I believe they have more patrols than any other, which should mean time to recovery is lower......have no direct experience with the others.....if you join online its cheaper...

We're with AA (came with bank account) Call centre isn't great but the patrol men are great and really know their stuff (and they don't try screw you for money either). They rescued Mr 944 when he went for a swim.

Some years back I helped friend collect a large motorbike, using my ancient old VW camper and a large covered trailer.

On the motorway outside Perth the engine in the VW let go with some drama (broken stud), and the AA were summoned to help. It took two low loaders to rescue the whole outfit, and transport camper, trailer and bike back home. It would have cost a fortune if I'd had to pay for it , so I reckon I've had several years worth of subscriptions out of the AA already.

[:D]

And Poesche ExtWarranty seem to use RAC as theve got the lowest flatbeds never had any hassle with them

Went with the RAC £71 for full recovery in any vehicle I am driving or a passenger in ..hope I never need it

AA came to my rescue a few weeks ago when I had a 6" nail in my tyre. They were there within 25 minutes, fixed the repair and got me on my way again. Brilliant service from them.

I have used them both; little difference.

However, and this gives my age away, I note that their motorcyclists do not salute any members any longer as they pass you.

I know the reason for that tradition - bring it back asap, please!

Hi Brian,
Used RAC ever since an entertaining trip to Brands for a GP many moons ago. They transported me, my pal and the car back home from sunny Snodland, we ended up driving the transporter most of the way cos the driver was tired! Got back in time for strawberries & cream and the GP!!. Always had good service though not needed for years until recently when the Boxster broke last month. They came quicker than expected and had a proper loader - apparently they have a specialised trailer for fancy cars. Just rolled it on, no underside damage. Price always an issue and despite being with them forever it was cheaper to check price on the web and beat them down from a standard renewal (plus the threat of leaving).
Hope this helps.

As said just went with the RAC one of the reasons for joining is I have no spare in the 987 and if I use the gunk the tyre is scrap so if I get a puncture I would call then out and get them to take me and car to a repairer get it fixed .. also no longer have exstended warranty so just in case I break down
