Joining up with the RAC sponsoring the Porsche racing series (see PP)
We are arranging a 997 register visit to the RAC control centre at Bescott (Birmingham).
I'm sure the majority have seen the unique building as you have passed it on the M6
For those who are fortunate to of never required Porsche assist it is operated by the RAC organisation.
It will be a midweek (possibly a Monday) visit to the RAC control centre.

*We will get to see how all the calls are handled at the call/control hub.
*Hopefully a chance to meet the small team who are dedicated to Porsche assist.
*Tour the national technical training facility.
*See how the teams monitor the jobs, hopefully being able to watch the whole process of call, monitoring and rescue from start to finish.

Date of the event is Monday 21st May, Start time is 10.30am, the tour to allow us time to listen in on a few of the assistance calls will be approximately 11/2 hours.
After that its propposed to head out to a country pub for a drink and lunch for those interested.

We have at this time 5 spare places which we are going to open up to West Midlands members
If you are interested in taking one of the 5 remaining places then please post your interest below...

This was a great day with a small number of West Midlnads members attending. Details in the 997 forum area.

It is hoped to do a full West Midlands meeting back at the RAC centre some time later in the year, hopefully October time.
Please register your interest with John Lord to be included in the visit.
