A slightly different Motorsport event to our usual, should anyone fancy an excuse for a fun-filled R3 weekend away or perhaps just visiting for the day. A few of us have already booked up and decided to travel down late Friday afternoon allowing us one full day at the show on the Saturday, before returning after a leisurely breakfast on Sunday.
Race Retro is billed as covering all aspects of historic motorsport, this show promises you stunning cars on display as well as breath taking live action, alongside the latest vehicles added to their auction line-up as well as a few famous faces joining them over the weekend, see here to find out more.
Ticket options start from just £22.00. If like me, you enjoyed hours of senseless standing in fields and forests to watch the Lombard RAC Rally (as it was back in the day) enjoying the skills, sounds and the smell of burning Castrol R, you too could be transported back in time if only for a day.
Lots of hotel options around this area if you choose to stay over, one of which, the Citrus hotel is a fairly basic travelodge type hotel, Deb and I have booked to stay here again and it's not far away from the venue. It was clean and the food was good and above all excellent value for money.
Please note, PCGB won't have a stand at this venue this year, so why not take a flask - just like the good old days []
