Race retro show - what did you think?

Anyone else from on here go - there was a red 944 and a 928 parked up in the classics car park.

I looked out for Peters car (he said he might go) but couldnt see it.

I thought it was a bit dull this year apart from the weather but I bought a few shiney bits for project Golf, spoke to a few manufacturers and experts on brakes and took a looooooooooong route home and gave the car its head, fantastic weather, great day all round.

PS: as I got back a white 944 cab came through our village (Breachwood Green) top down, looked good, anyone on here.

I went along but hitched a lift with my brother as the white car isn't on the road at the moment and I've got a wheel wobble on the red one at motorway speed.

I really enjoyed the show, although would agree it's quite similar year on year. I do think they could do with adding some new more stuff to spice it up, but as it was run by a different company this year perhaps we'll see that in the future, they're certianly not short of space at Stoneleigh after all!

For me it's the rally stage that makes the event, the number of interesting cars running was down compared to previous years but the Aston Rally GT made up for it. I saw the last run of the day and it was madness, Mark Higgins went flying through the start so was at least 50mph up on any other run, he was full throttle in front of us, sideways on the narrow road. Spun it later on, but what a noise. Awesome!
