Racing brake fluid

Dear all,

Could you give me an indication of how much it would cost to flush our braking system with new race fluid?

Thanks,

It's usually about an hours labour plus two litres of brake fluid - cost depends on the fluid. Castrol SRF is about £50 / litre, ATE Super Blue about £15 / litre.

Definitely an hours work. [8|] Done it myself. [8|] If you're willing to pay someone then do so - bargain if only 1 hours rate. A workshop will probably only use 1 litre. I used 2 litres as I wasted a litre messing about - if you've done it you will know.......open the bleed nipples too much and the fluid gushes out and not the bubbles! Forget the clamp on the breather just once and the floor is covered in fluid! [:D] Drain all the fluid out and you'll regret it - more bubbles than a Super Matey factory! [:D][:D][:D] And don't forget that there are 2 callipers on each corner! [;)]

2 Callipers on each corner? Really! Or are there 2 bleed nipples? Now showing that I've yet to take the wheels off the car!!

what everyone else said except..... I would think they would use over 1ltr to do a complete flush as there is over that amount in the full system, if a full flush is done. Can't remember if 993 system uses accumulator ball for servo but that has a fair amount of fluid on it's own. From memory it's something like 250cc per caliper plus accumulator plus clutch plus amount in reservoir .
