Hi all Milton Keynes & Northants region members.

I would just like to say what a excellent evening I had when I attended the above event last night even with a 2hrs 30mins drive up from Essex to attend the event in the rain at some point & some very heavy, The evening was excellent as I got to meet Richard Attwood & David Piper ex Porsche 1970 Racers in the 917 & got to see many classic racing porsche cars from David Pipers Green & White number 80 917 & other excellent Porsche cars from the past years. On show was the new & very rare GT2RS & 997 GTS due out in January 2011. They also run a quiz which I won a Excellent Porsche Classic Watch in the quiz getting 10 out of 10 right. I was also asked if I was Mike Pink by another member of this region & all of you who knows me I am not. So if you attended I hope you too had a excellent evening as I did. Yours Truly Kevin.[:)]

??!!! Dare I say "unluckily you're not"....[8D][:D]

(Sounds like a good evening. I went to a similar "Legends" dinner at the RAC earlier in the year just before Le Mans. Didn't win any watches though [8|])

Well some of us have all the luck even people thinking i'm you Mike

What more can I say but I was beaten by a Clean Company man at your Concours this year, but I did enter my nearly new Panamera 4 with just over 600 miles on the clock & his had done going on 89000 miles.

Yours Truly Kevin.[8|][:)]

Well done for winning the watch. I'm off to my local Racing Legends event tonight and after reading other peoples threads I'm really looking forward to it.

<cynical mode on>

Kevin, I notice you have a Cayman S and a Panamera... can I ask if you are a regular/loyal customer of that particular OPC? Whenever I've been to one of these events all the prizes are won by people who the dealer principal seems to be on first name terms with!! [;)] Probably makes perfect marketing sense tho', or maybe just a coincidence. [:D]

< cynical mode off now > [:D]

Edited to add: If they were serving humble pie for dessert then I would have been eating more than my fair share. I won the Motorsport Model Set in the quiz! [:)]

Hi RSGulp

To answer your questions I entered my Cayman in that dealership Concours in 2009 & Won best visitors class but I brought the Cayman S from Sutton Coldfield Dealership & have never been invited to any of there events.

Reference to the Panamera I got that from the Cambridge dealership as I had been left a AMG SL600 Black by my late father & as i,m a Porsche man I brought the Panamera 4 Ex Demo instead of waiting 6 month for one & I entered the Panamera 4 in the Silverstone Dealership Concours again in the visited class in 2010 & come second.

I also collect Die Cast Porsche models & have shown my models at this Silverstone Dealership in 2008 so it could by why I got the Watch & not the model Motorsport Set as I already own it & get all my Porsche model from the Colchester Dealership & last Saturday at the 911 Clinic I show some 100 models at that dealership & was given a USB Stick for my time.

It also could be that I'm intrusted in getting the New Cayenne Diesel sometime next year so to get a invite to the Racing Legends Evening on the 19th October 2010 but I come from the Essex Area & it was a 5 hour round time for me to attend, I also managered to get Richard Attwood to sign the Invite card to go with his 917 Le Mans car on the front.

One last thing how many of the question did you get right all 10 or just a % of the 10 & well done for winning the excellent Motorsport Set.

I also own a John Coopers Works Mini 2009 Model which I went in on Tuesday which I'm looking at changing for the New Audi A1 Sport when it comes out in November & yes you can say I like my Porsches & Small Cars too.

I hope I have answered all your question as I shop around for my Porsche car & stay with a dealership when I find them. Yours Truly Kevin.[:)]

10 correct too. [:)] I really enjoyed the event and it was great to see Porsche being passionate about their racing heritage.
