RADIATOR DIFFERENCES ?

Hi Guys, I want to purchase a replacement rad for my 2.7 944, could anyone tell me if there are any differences between the 2.5 rad & the 2.7 rad as well as top & bottom hoses, also best place/ cheapest place to buy a new ones maybe ?, many thanks, Tony

IIRC All of the radiators you buy now are for the 944 Turbo (or at least this is what I received for my S2). When I checked, the inlet and output connections and angles are the same (for the S2 anyway). IIRC the S2 rad was near eough the same as the other NA cars (but I shall have to double check this).

I have photos showing the difference between the two rads (basically, the cores are the same (or they seemed so) but the Turbo has larger tanks. For now I have to dash, but I shall return with some pics (there are some in an old thread of mine).

Hmmm... If I remember correctly the S2/turbo/968 radiator is taller than the others.
As far as I can see in PET, there is a S2/turbo/968 radiator, another one for other models bar automatics, and a third one for automatics.

Friend of mine who fitted a turbo rad to his S definitely had to modify the lower part of the shell so that the turbo rad could fit, as it was hanging below the lowest mounting points.
