Radiator Fan fuse keeps blowing

Hi all, have changed the radiator fan twice already and the fuse still keeps on blowing, is there any other component I need to replace/check?

Has the fan jammed?

Do you have a damaged bit of wiring somewhere which is causing a short?

Has the fan motor failed?

I'd disconnect the fan motor (it easily unplugs) and see whether the fan spins OK by hand, then apply 12v across the motor and see whether that's OK. Go from there ...

Oli.

the fan spins freely, in fact I did this by interchanging 3 sets of fans. But I will double check the fan motor operation. I will try and trace the wiring as you said, it can be a short somewhere. Thanks for the ideas.

Also by any chance, does anyone know where I can buy the fan resistor? Porsche has discontinued it and have no clue where to get it now.
