If I want vocal directions on the Sat Nav but don't want the radio/cd on, how do I suppress the latter. Doesn't the mute on the audio function just cancel all the output to the speakers ?
H
No the mute is overridden by both the sat nav and telephone.

I have asked at two main dealers and no-one has yet been able to help. I have also spent a fair bit of time fiddling with the system, trying to decipher the instruction manual, etc. all to no avail.
If you find an answer, please let me know.
Let me know if this works.
NAVI > Set > Route Guidance.. > ... Fixed Volume = Yes > Set the Volume to lowest
Although then I have a suspicion that the music may just go quiet when the Nav comes on. So you may need to play with the settings.
Easiest way though is to just turn down the volume when the voice gives directions. You can hit the 'repeat' button if you don't manage to get it all the way down before they finish talking.
