Radio Cassette Problem

Hi
I recently purchased a Toronto 400 Bt and an IPod mini jack lead to install into my 1990 C2 Targa.
I have taken the existing stereo ( Blaupunkt Toronto SQR 46 ) from the car but the plugs are different.
Do anyone know of any adapter plugs to connect the old type plug to the modern plug including the pre amp round lead ( I think that's what it is ), I have enclosed a couple of small images to try to show a little clearer.
I have been told that the only way to make the new stereo work is to extend the speaker wires to the amp under the drivers seat, this is something I don't really want to do as I would like to have the option of reinstalling the original.

There is a range of over-priced adapter converters at Halfords.

If you can identify exactly what the plug types are called, then Ebay is the way to go.

Perhaps the chaps at BlueSpot can help with this query.

I have found the hardware bits I think I need but could do with a wiring diagram of the 8 pin plug, anyone know where I could possibly find such a thing.
I have looked in a workshop manual and although there is a diagram it doesn't seem to have the detail I am looking for.

I'm looking at the wiring diagram and it seems quite detailed. If you need it PM me with your email.

Thanks Dekker, sorry for the long delay in the reply. Found a harness cable today at Base Junkies and although its listed as for Ford Capri, Escort and Fiestas from 1978 till 1991 it is the correct Porsche fitting for the 964. I nearly have all the bits now to put the sound through the existing preamp or bypass it, a job for one evening next week. Steve
