Hi all, I need to change the battery on the Boxster but unfortunately i have no radio code card .Could you please tell me , How do i get the code which will be lost when i disconnect. cheers Andy Mac

You may need to leave the key in the ignition in the 'on' position to stop the alarm sounding and radiocode being lost (don't forget to also leave your window/door open or have the roof off although I guess with a boxster you'll definitely be inside the car when you reconnect the battery - unlike a 996). If nobody else answers your post and you get desperate that's what I'd. If it doesn't work then as you know it'll be a trip to the OPC.

Where's Mark when you need him? - or John?.

996 and Boxster have the battery inthe same place - betweent he front boot and the windscreen...

Dan is correct - turn the key to position 1. The alarm will not go off, and you should save your radio settings (including the code).

It does say this in the handbook if I recall.

Thanks for the input, but unfortunately the radio code has gone, so i will have to ring the OPC for code recovery . Does anyone know roughly what they charge? . Cheers , Andy Mac

If Mark is correct in saying that your handbook says it should be kept and you followed the correct procedure I don't see why the OPC should charge.
