Hi All,

Looking forward to seeing you all at Ragley Hall tomorrow!

Take my number with you, and if there is any problem getting to the 944 Display area then give me a call from the gate and I'll sort you out. 07971 832780 for those of you who don't already have me set as a speeddial number....[;)]

Can we all just head to the 944 area then? We don't need special passes like previous years?

See you all tomorrow [:)]

That is what I was told - and I've heard nothing to contradict this since. But then, I've heard nothing since......[8|]

As far as I know any member who brings their 944 will be parking up in one area. No gazebo has appeared, so look for a handsome bloke next to a smart red 944! [:D][:D][:D]

Not going to make it, had planned to go on the way to scotland, but have to go to a meeting in London monday morning then on to scotland and on top of that Yasmine is a little poorly. Hope you all have an excellent day, and you can find a suitable substitute for the 944 4
Tony

Sorry you can't make it Tony.

We agreed that we'd not try for a second win in the Register Challenge without all four of us, so over to another team this year!

Now I feel worse! Hope you have a good day anyway, weather looks good don't forget the suncream :)

Nice day out, thanks to Paul (S) for fixing my hatch really appreciated that[:)],nice looking at all the cars in such lovely surroundings a really beautiful house in amazing grounds. The Porsche display stand with the 550 spyder and the 356 coupe were amazing must have been a hell of a job to put up.The display of 944s in black and red contrast were very impressive!Unfortunately had to leave earlier than was programmed due to the schoolboy error of forgeting to bring some sandwiches! The little chef was very welcome sight!

No problem Mark, your boot carpet was very soft and comfortable :ROFLMAO:

I still think you should have come in the black one though. We had far too many red and it ultimately messed up Mr Sims excellent red, black, red, black idea. No doubt we shall see some pictures soon [8D]

Yep, good day out and good to meet some new faces as well as the old.

I had thought I might perish on the drive home through lack of food though - plenty of opportunity to buy car insurance or clear film to make perfectly good paint look like orange-peel but nowhere near enough places to get any grub.

I was lucky in that I arrived before the official opening time so I didn't have to queue for in excess of an hour to get in, though some rocket scientists parked the non-Porsches 3 rows deep so I was totally boxed in for a while, but I gather others had a very long crawl into the site.

I thoroughly enjoyed it but I can't help wondering how someone coming to their first event with the Club and not knowing a group of people already there would have viewed it. Methinks there is still some room for improvement in the organisation.

Good day but what happened to the pig roast ? (I know the pig ran away....) Any how i saw plenty of sheep on the way in so why couldnt we of had lamb roast ? [8D]

Great day due, as ever, to the fine company and impressive array of machines to look over (not to mention the 944's erm, unique parking formation) but as a first timer to the big "showcase" event my flabber was well and truly gasted by the organisational shortfalls - The length of time many had to endure to simply get in was bad enough but the catering, or rather lack of really was pants.

That said am glad I went just hope next years gathering is properly sorted.

See post in the members forum......[8|]

Suffice to say that in my humble opinion, as your leader! [:)]

Arriving as I did at stupid-o'clock, waking up the Ragley Hall cockerel, it was easy to secure the best area. Shame that everyone else made it difficult to get to our perfectly-placed area....

As usual John Sims took over the parking. Early pictures will show a three-car line up in club colours of red, white and Maritime blue. Subsequent parking developed into a strange red/black curved formation as John lined the cars up in a classic straight line that echoed the curvature of the earth....[&:]

Flawed event, yes. If you've seen my sylph-like figure you'll appreciate that I was happy to survive on a small bag of crisps from 0600 to 21.16, precisely. Not....

All in all, you all said that you wanted an old-fashioned "cars in a field" event. Well, you got it. Ok, we'll have to sort out a venue with better access and at least SOME catering, but Ragley did seem to be a pretty good compromise between the hugely financially risky Brands Hatch weekend and the Reading pub meet that always seems to be the most popular 944 event!

Would certainly agree that the venue has great potential both for its central location and its very nice surroundings. If the problems could be sorted it could make a cracking place to hold the annual shindig..

Anyone got any photo's of Johns spectacular red, black, red, black 944 line up? As ever I forgot my camera and will have to rely on Rick again [:D]

Congratulations

You and the 964 registers were the only registers to have sequested a reasonable parking area.

Though a bit short on Baltic Blue cars..........
