Ragley Hall

Hi Tim

I was there and one of the 10 that saw your car ..I saw it and the others by accedent as i took the wrong path!! haha

Lovely car!!

Sorry I did not see you!

J.

We were parked on the same bit of garden too (Carmon red boxster)

Did you ever find the Thames valley regions parking ? We never managed it.

Hi Tim. You did indeed miss me. I arrived at 9:40 and the queue was still inside the grounds at that time, but the long grind up the hill in second (another 924 turbo eats first gear, shock horror) slipping the clutch meant that by the time I got to the gate the engine conked. I took a few pics whilst it cooled and was "in" by 10:15 but by then the haste to get the cars off the highway meant that organised parking went out of the window, or so it seemed to me. There was no R19 pennant that I could find so I didn't put up the regions Gazebo, especially as I didn't want to walk into the next county to erect it. I parked in the 924 register area. I met Justin and co., wandered around a bit, heard the cafeteria had run out of food and joined the lengthening queue of cars leaving. Had more fun surprising 911s and 928s with the unexpected urge of a 24t on the way up and back than at the event. Home with feet up and a decent cuppa by 3:40. Never again, not even if you pay me. Not Ragley. To those I missed I apologise.

Seems I might not have missed much.

Which is a shame because I suspect there was a lot of work put in by some

Hi All

The organisation was just great!! I was there but found no trace of R19, but after spending half my day in the grid lock trying to get in and then discovering I would have to go on a diet I lost the will to live.

It would have been helpfull if there was a decent site map or sign posts then I would have come and had a look at your cars.

PS before anybody starts I actauly paid my entrance fee!!!!.

Alan

Hi All,

We were in position by 9-15am ..... so missed all the queues.

Took our own lunch ... which turned out to be the right thing to do.

We stayed until about 5-00pm ..... saw the Hog Roast :0) .... which had no Hog :0), just a few burgers :0(

Thought the toliet facilities were totally inadequate too :0(

No bacon rolls either :0(

Could do better

Hello Mr ianfiat, it was your boxster further up the hill :0) Unusual colour, we did come and have a look :0)

We stupidly thought the BBQ would be at lunchtime- though we did bring a couple of sandwhiches with us.

Tim- was you car the one with the wheels of a slightly different colour to the car- it looked great.

Was there. What a crock! Eventually got in by back route. Appalled. Wife had a hypoglycaemic attack because of lack of food so we had to leave. Found a nice snack bar at local garden centre though. How did PCGB manage to make such a pigs ear of the event? Sounds like they are trying to blame the venue rather than take responsibility. I don't suppose a refund will be offered to attendees?

It seems its popularity led to its downfall - It's a shame because it was well publicised within the club.

It could of been worse I was at a concert in Twickenham and at 10pm there were 80,000+ queuing for the train to reach London and Reading!
