Raised brake light fault?

My intermittent fault has developed and now my raised brake light doesn't seem to work at all, everything else is working fine and all the fuses are ok, is there something else I'm missing or is it another trip to the OPC?
Didn't have a great time the last time I visited them, or should I say the last four times I visited them with the same fault but that's a whole different story.
Thanks..

Mine was identified as 'dim' on a free 111 point check, quoted 100 quid + to supply & fit....

On getting car home removed the light only to find it had been repaired before as all plastic clips that connect it together & hold all the contacts in place had broke after becoming brittle!
Removed bulbs, reinserted them & 'bingo' ALL working again so glued the 2 halfs together...

worth a try yourself

Thanks for that I've had a chance to take the unit out, the lights are working but they are very faint. The power supply to the light is fine and as far as I can see the light unit is a sealed unit so It's going to be a new light unit, though thankfully it's not a major expense.
Cheers..
