Does anybody have a RAL paint chart? I'm about to get my spare cam cover powder coated and the 2 options are... RAL 3001 Signal Red and RAL 3020 Traffic Red.

Which would go better with Guard's Red ?

TIA

I have a paint chart but no access to Guards Red.

3020 is a very bright red

My chart doesn't have 3001 but does have 3000 (Flame Red) and 3002 (Carmine Red). These are almost indistinguishable on my chart so I assume 3001 is pretty much the same. They are every bit as red but with a very slight burgundy brown tint to them. They are perhaps a deeper red as a result.

Without a sample of guards red to hand I would probably go with 3020 myself.

Our chart has 3000, 3001, 3002, 3003 and 3020 and I have wandered around outside in the square at work and all the porkies outside are gray (7). Remembering mine at home I would say... all of the above, depending how long ago it was polished at the time. or which panel . 3020 looks ott, but 3001 looks a bit dull. I would take the chart home with me and check, but at £££££££££££££££ a set I will get my ears twisted off by the two headed dog that gaurds the front door.. 3000 would be the closest but thats not an option.

Thanks for that guys, I guess the best thing would be to take myself along to a trade supplier of auto/industrial paints and check their chart against car/spare headlamp cover
