Great day was had by all. We set up our Porsche Club area with banners and R30 sign, very professional, for us anyway [;)]
Ok, not a big Porsche turnout but we enjoyed it. Picnics were eaten by most people and then some time was spent watching me try and get a few meals cooked on our barbeque. I admit it, I lit it about an hour too late!

Can't really say anything about our new RO sitting in the Jensen camp as Ian had brought both his Interceptor and his fantastic Boxster Spyder to display.

Plent of talking about cars was done and we attracted our fair share of attention. We did open up to show the 911 engine bays, just to compete with all the attention the boxster was getting! [:D]

It would be great to get a few more cars to display if we get invited to next years event. I'm sure that we can improve things too. Does anyone have a standard Porsche Club GB car information sheet that we can fill in for each car on display? I'm sure it must have been done before and it would save me some work creating one. The Jags all had them and it looked great.

A few other cars that were there too:

Thanks to Julian for organising our part in the event.

Joking aside, a good day was had by all. All of our cherished cars have much to offer, be in different ways. It is understandable that our RO would prefer a Jensen Interceptor to his mere 911 whatever! (I am currently negotiating a cash in hand swop). A picture, speaking a thousand words, has been blocked as a matter of national security. Having said that, if I manage to download it I'll publish and be damned!

Hi Ian,
here is the photo you were trying to post. I think julian was actually telling us that it was because the Jensen only gets 9mpg that he had only offered you 'buttons' for it. Whatever currency 'buttons' are I'm not sure, but if I was you I'd take it! [;)]

Looks like the super injunction arrived too late! In future I will take more care where I sit and who I talk to! Good to get out as a Region even though only a small club presence. Dave obviously suffering Porsche withdrawal as still wishing he had his GT3. Seemed all enjoyed the day and nice to see all other halfs and youngsters. Thanks to Steve and Pete for the entertainment. I think though you're a long way off Master Chef!
[:D]
