Hello, not been on for a while, been busy creating our car for the ramshackle rally Calais to krakow run in august. We did try to find a 944 for under £150 but it was quite hard so we found a mondeo instead. We are making it in to the #46 City Chevrolet from Days of Thunder. Its looking quite good!

Is anybody else doing it this year?

Fantastic, loving the theme too!

Great cause and great fun too, I expect - please keep us posted.

Must admit, this is on my 'bucket list' !

...along with waking up with Kylie, but that's probably best in a different post!

I wouldnt dare in a £150 car. I was nervous enough in a £500 car thatd had another £500 spent on it...

well at least you wouldn't be too worried where you parked it!

I love the whole 'bangernomics' thing, especially for an everyday runaround - not worrying about the odd scrape etc - ah that takes me back to the £120 Renault 4, I had as a student...

Nostalgia, the opiate of the elderly![;)]

The cars all finished now!

There are still places left on the rally and still time to get a car, just!
Cant help with Kylie tho appletonn!

Looks like great fun.

Our Focus is going to be run into the ground as a third car when I get another family bus early next year, and it is a great feeling knowing that if you pick up the odd dent or scratch in a car park it's not a problem and we dont really care. I'm ultra paranoid in the Porsche and I can sometimes even do a few circuits in the work car park selecting the best spot. Then there is the quick walk around inspection of the car when I return to it at the end of the day.

I've taken a few sub £250 bangers around Europe with near no issues. It's great fun, and I hope you enjoy it:).

My profile picture shows my 944 on the 2007 Scumball300 Rally (attracting the attention of half of Stuttgarts police force and all of their vehicle examiners).
