Hi all,

Just popping over from the 996 section quickly :)

Got an extremely random question for you -

Does anyone work for an Investment bank? (Yes I said it was random, apologies!)

- Quick briefing for you without boring you to death:

Recent business grad (2008) @ Nottingham
Working in finance/investments currently
Current financial management MSc (distance learning) @ Edinburgh

Seeking some info and advice on moving into the I-banking industry - wasn't sure where else to look, and was hoping some like-minded car fans could help me out......

PM me or mail me if you are kind enough to help a desperate man.

To everyone else... apologies for the randomness!!

Edited - to make title more relevant & waste less peoples time!

Hi Sam, A question probably better placed in Members' Wanted sub-forum here? [8|] If you are a PCGB club member then get your accounts linked up (sticky at the top of [link=http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tt.asp?forumid=37]General Porsche Discussion Area[/link] tells you how) and this is sort of thing you would post in the members' Chat Room sub-forum there.

Interesting conclusion that 997 owners are more likely to be Investment bankers than 996s owners [8|]

wow! that is random, however its what clubs are about, so I'll leave it here for a while...

Thanks :) Yes it is very random, I do really apologise, feel free to move the post if you believe it is in the wrong section or delete entirely. As for the 997 over 996 - it's just a hunch [:)] Also - not a PCGB member, not something I have looked into TBH - I just own a 996 and post there sometimes - and felt this forum more than anywhere else I have been on before is far more, how shall we say... receptive.. :)

Sam, Why not pop down to Cornbury House, our Club HQ (GL56 0JQ), this Sunday. We are having an open day and you will meet lots of very friendly like minded chaps. You may even feel like joining PCGB. The 914 tribe will be in attendance, but that should not put you off [:D]

if they work in an investment bank they would more likely be lurking in the classic porsche section as they are far less liable to frightening depreciation[:D] unless of course they earn so much they really dont care!!but that,i suspect is unlikely(not that they dont earn too much-just that they almost certainly DO care!!) good luck with your random search, and yes why not follow dereks hunch

Thanks for getting back to me guys - still holding out that I will get really lucky and someone will see my post and help me out :) I guess my thinking was - tonnes of young guys want help getting into the industry- but not many do so by posting on the Porsche forum (wonder why..) - maybe it shows I really want to do it; and some like minded person will help me out... Fingers crossed. Anyway - apologies to anyone who read my original post and thought - "what the hell" - fair point! As for Sunday - need to check commitments, possible, but not likely this time round (FYI - I do actually own a 996 in-case you were wondering) Cheers guys/girls Sam
