RARE BRIXNER PORSCHE 944

First, Porsche did not fitted any Brixner items. That car have only Brixner rear apron, nothing else. I bought about a year ago similar Brixner apron. Paid 50€ of it. I have collected most of the time perioid 944 body kits. Have found so far Brixner, D&W, Strosek,Foha & Zender items. Most of these are not anylonger comercially available. I have made molds most of these [:)]

My Brixner apron:

Came originally from this 944, which was wrecked several years ago

I am glad the tyres are 'all round', I much prefer round ones to any other shape

And if it is so Rare Y is it so cheap

Looks to me like a perfectly regular car with a plastic spoiler on the back (happy to be corrected if I'm wrong though), I'd prefer a standard toast-rack myself. As such, it's not that cheap for a LHD early Lux. Looks in nice condition from the pics though.

Nothing special to see here, best move along...

Indeed just looks like an early Lux with a slightly different spoiler. Would be very interesting if the vendor came up with any other less obvious "Brixner" changes.

Brixner fabricated also sideskirts for 944's. I have not located any decent pair. Manufacturing of Brixner 944 parts ended late '80's. One german company made 924 rear apron clone of Brixner but they discontinued it last winter. Brixner kit did not have any other items than these

Brixner was a company which fabricated glassfibre parts also for 944's.Nothing else for these cars. They were heavily involved into motorsport, mainly with NSU & BMW. That red 944 was not my car. I just have Brixner apron taken from it. Car was wrecked several years ago. I have just collected old 944 glassfibre parts, like E30 BMW bodykits as well. These parts are '80's history which should be saved. I have taken molds from most of these, so parts can be easily fabricated again if necessary.

As Olli says nothing special other than the rear skirt, love to know how the seller thinks its a wide body unless he's only ever seen 924's lol

Ollli
I take my hat of to you pal ! The 80's were some great years and thanks to people like you the youth of today might revisit that era again one day !

Thanks for all the info you have provided best regards J.C

i was an '70's teenager and young adult of the '80's. Somehow i have stuck to that era [:D] I used to dream about 951's back then. Have enough money to buy new E30 bodied BMW's. Well now i have owned a 951 over ten years (will never sell it) and also 1988 E30 BMW, which i bought three years ago for 100€. These cars are my timemachines back to my younger years [:)]
Only things i don't miss from '80's are padded jacket shoulders and neon color shorts and T-shirts. []
