Rare sight now.

I don't think I've seen another 944 turbo on the road for several years. And I wonder if most that have been bought in the last 4 or 5 years, are owned by polishers/speculators now, rather than to be used to their full potential.

I will be seeing one on Saturday, as my decal guy has an 89 model. It definitely isn't a polisher or speculator example. A bit breathed on, large rear wing, large rims and blue stripes over white body last I seen it. A tad fast and furious!

But, yeah, very rarely see a 44 on the road never mind a turbo. There is regularly 10-15 turbo's on sale on ebay of late, so I think that adds up with people trying to cash in and them not being driven. Prices vary from £15k ish to over £40k. They don't seem to sell quick.

When I was searching for my new home I saw 3, one in a road of a house I was viewing and another two a week or so later on the same day within a couple of miles while viewing other houses near by. I see it as an omen drawing me to the area, we move in next Friday, here's hoping I see them again. Another omen this time for my wife was her favourite bird, a red kite circling above as we entered our chosen new home. That was it, we put in an offer at full asking price within the hour which was accepted two days later after all booked veiwings had taken place....??

We've often seen Kites, Buzzards, sparrowhawks and Kestrels at our 2 places. My Mrs thinks they're the spirits of our departed GSD's watching over us. She doesn't have to be crazy to live with me, but it probably helps. Are you sure it wasn't a Vulture circling Pete :ROFLMAO:.

Seen a few (probably 5 this year) but I cover a lot of miles in other vehicles, mine have done hardly any miles this year! they are getting rarer and very used as daily drivers now. My Coupe will never be that valuable (already covered c 190k miles) but I would like to go back to using it a lot more - just needs some time spending on it first. Aiming for doing at least some next year - this year its only moved once :(, cab needs a service and a cambelt first (less than 2k miles on current one but 6+ years).

Haha...with my knowledge of birds Paul, very possible...my wife is pretty good though, plus she can see better than I...??

Mine's a regular at Morrisons in Yate. Plenty of space in the boot for all that shopping. Like to use it more tbh but I have severe range anxiety, i.e. will it break down if I drive it that far. Still it made it to Le Mans and back for the Classic this year.

I have supermarket car park anxiety. It doesn't matter if I park in the furthest deserted area of the carpark, some magpie with a rusty shed will turn up and park right beside me [:(].

I don't think I have seen any sort of 944 let alone a Turbo since we moved to the Lakes [:(] You guys all need to get out and drive them more. Maybe I should start another poll asking how many miles you've all done in the last 12 months [;)]

That would be 0 miles, since I moved house nearly 2 years ago. 6 months ago I bought something with 4wd, a DSG gearbox and 350 bhp. Launch control makes it faster and easier 0-60, and I'm not precious about driving it in crappy weather. Plus it's got heated seats, traction control, an all kinds of other modern driving aids.

I recall a fun weekend in the lakes when there was a lot of 944's frightening the locals Paul, fond memories from the good olde Titanic days. Even though me, my wife and kids spent the weekend at nuclear Dave's fabulous house non of us came away glowing at night...??

Less than one tank of fuel :(
Hardly used the boat this year either, Been working in Cyprus, Gibraltar and Wick Plus a couple of weeks in the Falklands, so when I was at home I had too much to do. Yaris is about 15k already though and Amarok must have had 15k or so added this year
