'rarri fun

I had a bit of fun with a couple of ferarris at the weekend....if you want to see the video, it's here:

50Mb though, so only for those with big links - I think it's worth it, but I'm biased [;)]

Given the 152bhp advantage the 355 has, I though my boxster did well.

Greig excellent footage and your Boxster did exceptionally well ....well done [;)]

Thanks daro...more to come, it was simply the best track day I've been on...the cars on display were mouthwatering, and having an F40 mixing it on track with the rest of us was just awesome - I felt very privileged to be driving there....

I felt very privileged to be driving there....

[8D]Plus the added bonus of having a relatively low powered low priced sports car showing those prancing horses the way to do it quickly :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Don't you worry Mr Q, now that I have the technology sorted, the "flaming" video is coming soon [;)]

Next installment - F335 Berlinetta F1, couple of 996s, and a maserati of some description - I liked this one better than the first, had to work harder for it

Love your work!!! Great driving and great footage. I couldn't believe you were in a 2.7 Boxster, certainly looks like you had a very good day.

I am assuming your camera was mounted on a roll cage, do you mind me asking what camera and mount you were using? I have a camera but not sure that it is suitable for this type of work, do you know if there are features to look for? I am going to try and find a camera mount but wondering which type / model to go for.

Any info appreciated.

Regards

Yoda, the camera mount is this one:
http://www.b-hague.co.uk/camera_suction_pads_vacuum_mounts.htm

A suction mount, attached to the windscreen. Uses a standard camera tripod "screw hole" in the bottom of the camera, which is a standard Sony mini-DV, and a fairly old one at that.

Hi, thanks for those details. I thought that most track day organisers insisted that camera's had to be fitted to a roll cage. Anyone have any experiences in this regard? Picture was steady with the suction cup and probably gives better view/lighting.

Thanks

I could - It shows how much is down to the drivers and that it isn't just about horsepower.

Well done Greig...

Is that a bra on the nose?

'Gimp' - down here in Gloucester that's a turn for an intellectually challenged individual.

I could almost feel the stone chips as the yellow beast kicked up the dirt and just spotted it watching the second WMV.

Once again superb driving and movies.

JCB..
