Rather Lovely D90s

Ok they're on the wrong sort of German car, and (by the admission of the current owner) currently wear stooooopidly narrow tyres for that "euro stretched" look (I'm guessing they were probably on a Golf at some point), but....... love the finish that's been applied to these, and the fact that only the very outer edge of the rim has been left bright. Makes them look larger.

Thought I'd post in case it gives someone inspiration. [:D]

Apparently the original fitment for that model was 205/55/15.

It's currently wearing 195/40/16 (!) so the overall diameter is small by quite a margin.

I'd be sticking some 225/45/16 on personally......

The finish is nice. I've seen a similar matt black finish on some cup 1's and they looked lovely. I'd quite like a set like that myself as a second set of track day wheels - I think dark coloured wheels go well with red cars.

I'm not sure what the 'euro stretched' look is supposed to be though. Those tyres just look the wrong size for the car. Simple as that. If you took the car on track after a few fast corners it looks like the tyre would just peel away from the rim.

They look good, but having stopped next to a UPS van yesterday, I would have to think carefully about wheels with that size silver rim,
