Rattle in driver's door of C4S

My '02 C4S has developed a rattle when I'm driving which seems to come from inside the driver's door. Before I start pulling it apart, I wondered if anyone had any suggestions of likely candidates?

Thx

I had this on mine it seemed to be coming from the door air bag.

I found if you lent on it with some pressure from your elbow it would stop. After a few well placed blows it's seems to have gone away!! [;)]

Eek []
Hitting the airbag? You're braver man than me... [:D]

My old 986 Boxster had a rattle from the front door and it transpired that the window had lifted off the runner. The window was opening and closing OK, but it wasn't meeting the runner correctly. The OPC re-assembled it when it was in for another job and the sound vanished completely. If you don't do it yourself, get an independent to do it as refitting the runner at 90 quid an hour.....

I think mine may be the airbag - pressing on the cover on the way into work this morning seemed to make it go away. In fact, I think both doors may be at it - the driver's is worse than the passenger side, but now I come to press them both when driving along (trying not to drive into the car infront!), it's all much quieter.

So, the next question would be - how do I get at them - how does the door skin come off? Hitting the airbags is a little on the risky side to my way of thinking. Has anyone has the doorskins off who could point me in the right direction?

Thanks for all the feedback so far.
