Rattling passenger seat

When my navigator is missing I have a really annoying rattle from her seat. I think it has got worse over last few months (I don't recall noticing it 6 months ago - but could just be that I'm getting more sensitive) - therefore I assume it is something getting loose.

Inspection shows all the floor rails are tight on the floor and the problem seems to be the left rail/seat mount junction. It's like there is a gap between the rail fitted to the floor and the mounting on the seat. I can feel them move apart by a couple of millimeters if I shake the seat. The right hand one does not move in the same way.

Anyone had this problem?

Anyone know how to remove the seat to see what is going on under there?

Is there some way to adjust?

Thanks

Can't recall any adjustment but it is easy to remove the seat - from memory six bolts and a couple of electric plugs to remove.

When you get the seat out you will be amazed by how heavy it is !! I was shocked.

John,
Are they the bolts that go down into the floor? ie you remove the floor rails so the entire mechanism and seat comes out together?

I have an annoying rattle for the passenger seat back having free movement in it. Its there a way to cure this?

Simon,
I thought it was the seat back too (seems to wobble) but I'm pretty sure now I've really checked it carefully that it's the left hand rail causing the noise.

Will try to take it out tonight following instructions above and see what I learn. (Although I may need to find time to get some new allen keys first)
