Rattling wind deflector

something that has been bugging me since I got the car is the fact that the wind deflector rattles at low speeds and when the hood is up.

I think one of the rubber bits is missing from the bracket on the roll bar, do these often fall out or get lost??

I have seen the brackets advertised on the web but not sure if they are genuine OEM, does anyone know how much they are from Porsche direct or a part number?

Cheers

Paul

if its a 987 there was a recall to stop this from happening,, check the wind deflector there should be a rubber foot under each bottom side the just round the corner on the sides you should have a foam piece if not you need a new deflector which should be done under the recall... and also the catches were changed,, old ones aren't marked but new ones have l and r on them..but are a pain to get to if the covers are well on the roll bar think the recall is either w 572 or w573

any problems i can give you the part numbers of the kits you need

Had the dealer check the wind deflector recall and apparantley my car isn't on the affected builds, in any case they have made an adjustment to the middle catch at the bottom that the deflector clips into and this appears to have solved the problem.

Thanks for the info on the recall

Paul
