rattling windows

i have an 86 3.2 carrera supersport cab .when the hood is down the windows rattle terribly.is there anyway of stopping this ? i dont think they have ever been touuched and they work perfectly
 
my 3.2 cab does exactly the same dont know if this also affects the coupe or just cabs. not much help i know as not had chance to investigate myself but would think foam pads or felt might cure it
 
I had this with my Supersport cab it turned out to be the bracket that holds the window frame to the inside of the door had broken.Fixed the bracket and it is know fine but was very annoying. Southbound found this when it was doing some work to the car . Ian
