sorry to bother you all , but i was directed here to Mark
please bear with me this post has probably been done to death, however i have just joined

i have just bought a 98 boxster , standard halogen headlamps , however i have just bought from germany a porsche xenon ( for 996) ( litronic kit ) it has 2 ballast boxes , 2 bulbs and a pair of other boxes that are attached ( dont know if these are the suspention adjusters ) , i have also purchased a pair or bosch d2s reflectors for the xenon .

now i dont know if i have made a major b-llsup , can the existing glass halogen headlamp be changed to incorporate the fitting for xenon , do i need new glass , or indeed can the halogen headlamps be altered in the first place ??

attatched is a pic of the unit

thanks
Greg

Greg - looking at those connectors, then unless you have the litronic headlight units, you're gonna have issues wiring it all up.

I see a Porsche sticker, so I do not know what you have if that sticker is real.

With the factory 996/986 xenon/litronic/HID kit you get replacement headlights, not parts to convert from halogen.

Interesting. Any Porsche part numbers around so I can look them up?

i will certainly see if i can
if you can read german was on ebay , the item number was on as 7977579924, i also purchased the projectors 7978778507
thanks
Greg
