Now then folks..
Has any of you chaps done this "little" task.???? on a 944S2 or other .....

If so was it a straight forward job.....I realize its not an "easy" job to do......
The car WILL be on a 2 post ramp ..
+ im also thinking of replacing the torsion bushes while im "in there"....

Also ,, is the replacement of the gearbox diff mounting bush an easy task to perform.????

I bet the answer will be NONE of us has [:D]

A little snippet I heard last week from an S2 racer that may help you. He spoke to Jon Mitchell at www.9xx.co.uk
about the same thing and was told that if you fit 968 sill covers (the ones that rise up towards the rear arch), you can then cut away the front of the arch as its behind the protector.

That cutaway yields perfect access to the end of the torsion bar, and the trailing arm can just slide straight off after undoing a few bolts and then be repositioned. Once back in place, the cill protector is put back in place and everything is rosy [:)]

Shame you hate those sill covers then Paul [:D]

I actually quite like them, albeit I don't know what they'd look like on a '44 with no other bodykit so I might investigate that when the time comes to do my suspenders.

They might look alright in Baltic Blue [;)]

I'll wait until I see it on another 44, but if it means easy lowering......hmmmmm

I 'think' the bit along the cills is fitted flush so crud can't get behind, and the bit that flares out at the back wheel arch is actually cut out so there is nothing there behind the plastic flare.

I'm sure only serious track cars and racers would go to this extreme. Most of us roadies would baulk at cutting away pieces of car just so it can be lowered easier [&:]

Come on chaps ,,, this realy aint helping me out now is it.....[8|][8|]

Has ANYBODY done this "little" task.....??????
