Have done this on a 3.4S, the gains aren't huge even with a free flow exhaust swap.

Remember gains aren't Mod 1 + Mod 2 + Mod 3 but a lower blend of all three regardless of published claims.

Best I have seen claimed is:

Model 3.2
Base BHP 252
Base Torque 225
Tuned BHP 267
Tuned Torque 240

Cost for just this is around 400-500 pounds.

I had mine remapped about 3 months ago - bit of a difference in mid range.

Would be worth talking to a few companies before embarking - prices range from £250 through to ~£500, if a rolling road is used. Make sure that any one will keep your origianl settings in record, so you can revert if you don't notice much difference.

The company that did mine estimated power now 280bhp and 335Nm torque

I see by your reply you're not that far from me. If you don't mind me asking who remapped your car? I've had a quote from A.M.D Tecknik based in Thurrock near Lakeside and the cost was £399-00 inc vat. They give you a print out on the rolling road of your car prior to the mapping. Then after the mapping was told about 15 to 20 BHP gain.

I used JR Tuning in Sittingbourne, but there's also a firm in Bexleyheath (can't remember their name).

My 3.2S is on JR's "customer cars"

had my 987 3.2 re-mapped by 'superchips' (£250) last year, they said they could give me an extera 17 bhp and have the car on the rolling road at Z Cars they were bang on.

main improvements are better MPG, smoother exceleration and the car just feels smoother

don't know that I'd spent that kind of money again
