Nice one, Steve. Congratulations. Looking forward to the pics. (or seeing it in the flesh). Why not drive over to North Devon for a few days? I do believe this particular model suffered greatly from failure of the big nut behind the wheel, so do take care! [:)] Regards, Clive

Steve Thats a pretty full spec glad to see you've got a sun roof prehaps you will graduate to a Cab next Enjoy Geoff

Steve The package sounds great - alot of cow! If the Gen 1 is anything to go by, you'll definitely enjoy the the Gen 2. I'm beginning to look at upgrading myself - the car that is!

Hi Guys

Picked up my Pre-owned 997 C4S Gen11 on Sunday, Wow, really chuffed. For those that asked, here is the spec, its quite a list,

Carrera 4S, PVTS, GT Silver Meatallic, Black Leather Interior, PDK, Sport chrono pack plus, 19 inch turbo wheels, 2 tone, Extended Nav, Telephone module, Bose, Universal Audio, Park Assist, Rear Wiper, Cruise, Heated seats, Porsche crest on headrest, wheel spacers, Tyre Pressure Monitor, Electric seats, Dynamic cornering lights, Deletion of model designation, Side skirts, Auto dimming interior, Homelink, Fire ext, Instrument dials in carrara white,, Additional int package leather, Steering column casing leather, Rear section of centre casing leather, Rooflining leather, Sun visors leather, Int light cover leather, Inner sill finishers leather, Int package A pillar & c pillar leather, Loudspeaker finishers leather, Defroster trim leather, Defroster air vents leather, Rear view mirror leather, Trim strip switch panel leather, Porsche crest on storage bin lid, Seat belt buckle leather, Fuse box cover leather, floor mats with leather surround, Aluminium 11 handbrake lever, 6 disc CD changer, TV tuner, Clothes hook seat backrest leather, LED pocket lighting, Rear footwell lighting, Sunshine roof, heated steering wheel, seat ventilation, Voice control, Multi function steering wheel smooth leather

The car is quite different from 997 C2S Gen1 not least of all with the PDK. My initial thoughts are that the C2S felt more agile and lighter whilst the C4S feels more solid & planted on the road. Not really had a chance to put the car through its paces but so far the Sport Chrono pack plus turns the car from a comfortable GT cruiser to an animal at the push of a button, I think I am going to enjoy this. Will upload some pics once taken and down sized

Bluetooth worked impeccably with my I phone, The bose sound is amazing listening to my DVD video on DTS 4.1 surround. Its a shame one has to drive it.

Hi Clive Would love that but cannot make the weekend trip, would like to catch up some time soon though and explore a bit of north devon, so will set a date, Ditto, if you ever fancy bringing Judy to a proper seaside town, we have full board available and garage parking for the car (if I take mine out that is) I think we might just squeeze it in. Not sure if the garage door will open again after wards though!!! Jon, I think we have a whole herd in there!! Geoff, I was thinking maybe GT3 (in my dreams) Does that come in cab form or would I have to chop the top off!!! Oh, and I forgot to mention that the door sills are lit with the carrera 4S logo and really glow in the dark. Just so that blind people like me can see where to get in! Steve

Steve Probably a new turbo cab for the true open air experience, seems such a shame to take a tin opener to a GT3. Suggest you wait until you get a puncture in the new Gen2 as that will be the sign ! Hopefully not on a 997 drive. Geoff

Steve Now that is a very nice car - fully loaded wtih all the extra's and more[:D] I'd love to get your views on C2S.1 manual vs C4S.2 PDK once you've got used to it. Enjoy the car. I'll have to find an excuse to come and have a drool over it in the near future. [:D]

Very nice Steve. Looks like someone got carried away on the configurator and ticked every box! Because of the saddo I am I put it through the configurator, and I'm sure I missed a few bits, but it came to over £90k! Missed off the ceramics though[:(]. Look forward to seeing it.

Steve, the cars looks superb and certainly is well spec'ed!! Glad someone else likes the glowing sills[:D] I look forward to catching up once again garyw

Couldn't agree more I went out for a blast with a fellow member in his Gen2 Targa C4S we swapped cars and the difference was striking with the C4 feeling much more planted my C2S felt like a skateboard in comparison. (but I still couldn't keep up with him!) Both do the same thing but feel different... Lovely car...congrats[:D]
