A great weekend. Good to meet so many R1 members and to put names and faces to those I have "met" through the forum. I will promise to drive faster next time Steve F and Keith!

We should try to bring the two regions togerther more often perhaps before folks who do, lay their cars up for the winter. I'd like to see how you 911 boys cope with Autumn leaves

Some of us northern 911 drivers don't fear Autumn leaves...or snow!
Nor do we lay our cars up for winter...

Good to hear you had a good weekend - I am currently finalising the details for the R1 concourse which if all goes to plan will be around Perth on the 17th Sept, so I'm hoping to see a few R2 members come down for that...

as for leaves...no problem

Should be OK for that...I'll be onshore, which makes a change for me to actually be able to attend something.

I suspect there shall be a good few R2 members up for that.
Well, not so much the washing and polishing bit...but the day out.

Yes Drew, now I know why your wheels were brakedust free. You were going too slow to need your brakes! [;)]

Here are some pictures of the weekend for those who are interested.

NOTE: Cannot get my pictures to load into this message so will post them in my blog later and then edit this message (again!). I have added the one picture that this site allows as an attachment. Any help appreciated with loading pics direct to the message page?

Nice turnout at the Speed fair I popped over and spoke to John C and Paul and some of the west coast guys ,since I have no Porsche at present I felt like a fish out of water and did not hang around as seeing all those nice cars made me fell depressed [:(] Was a good event nice classic cars, should be an annual event as I know one of the organizers and a lot off effort went into getting this of the ground .

Brain, get out there and find yourself a Porsche man [;)]

I don't like to see a good friend of mine getting depressed like that [:(]

Brian, I have to agree with Jane.....

Get the TANK out and buy something!!!!!

It was nice to see you again fella.

Where were you Mrs Smart?

Stinkyboy I would love to have gone along to it, but <coughs> I was out on Saturday night, and < ahem> never got in till the early hours of Sunday morning ( well 6am) so was in no fit state to go anywhere on Sunday [:(]

Brian I will chum you around those OPC's if you need any help [;)]

2 near neighbours of mine, non-PCGB members each have a car for sale. One is a blue 996 convertible Carrera about 6/7yrs old medium mileage for age with tan interior and the other an 18 mth old polar silver 997 Carrera. Undertand OPC wont buy back from him due to glut of 911's available at moment and he is v worried about his residual. I will post this also in the main Scotland forum as a new thread
