Real 924 Carrera GT on ebay

Hi

May this Black 924 Carrera GT on E-Bay be the one in one of the Porsche Purely GT or 911 Porsche World Magazines had on there books some time ago, as I remember one of these Magazine having one but not sure which one but I do remember it was Black.

Your Truly Kevin.[:)]

hehe, I'm never going to live my choice of wheels down ... am I? [:D]

I want mine to look like that GT soooooo badly - not too far off really, as I wouldn't have CGT rear wings out of choice. I'm looking towards collecting bits for the next part of the project - front end spray with a 924 turbo badge panel .... problem is I want a "real" one as I don't want to start cutting holes!

Would love to make it go as quick as that CGT too at some point ... but I don't want a turbo charged car. Thought about a 924 or 944 turbo but decided it wasn't for me, so naturally aspirated and 340bhp = one of these LS1 conversions I suppose, who knows? Anyway, I'm not seriously thinking about more power for a long time ... wouldn't be allowed. [:(]

Charles - you've owned one? :D

I'm no expert but a CGT (not GTS or GTR!) nor an early 944 are likely to achieve 340bhp!! Getting 240bhp would be easier in a CGT, not so sure on a 2.5 944.

I thought 340bhp was pretty high, lol! Then again is says so little about the car, who knows what has been done?

2.5 944s are apparently quite hard to get much power out of unless you go down the supercharging / turbocharging route.

it does confirm that badge panel works well on a black car ... [:D]

Also confirms Fuchs look best!! [:D]

They might look nice on a Rover P5B, but Grandad's alloys on a sports car? Nah! :)

Says the person with an MG with a Rover engine!!! Your Rostyles look more like the P6 wheels!

There is nothing 'Rover' or 'Grandad' about Fuchs!!! To criticise Fuchs is like criticising a flat six engine the rear of a 911!! [:D]

I think we need to agree to disagree [;)]

Buick Skylark actually. ;)

I'd never criticise the 911! Putting the horse behind the cart was always going to be a fantastic idea... [8|]
I 'loved' my '81 SC that much it lasted a whole 5 weeks. That car had Grandad alloys on it too!
