Morning gents, Is anybody able to say what their car weighs ready to go with or without the driver, specify driver weight if known and approx fuel load I.e 30 liters equals just under 30kgs, you get the idea.
Many thanks Cj

Yes, 1308 kg with approx 1/4 of a tank of fuel, that would equate to 23 litres, ( 1 ltr fuel = 0.711kg) 23 x 0.711 = 16.353 kg, so 1308kg - 16.353 kg= 1291.647 kg
so weight of rs is just short of 1292 kg, add 80 kg driver making a grand total of 1372 Kg,
corner weights were FL 253, FR 267, RL 394 RR 394 making 1308 Kg.

They are quite lardy with the seatbelts, radio, axminster and deep pile wilton in place.

Still, some RS owners really seem to enjoy vacuuming it, from what I saw today.[:D]

CS with cage and a/c (the shame!) and 1/2 a tank comes in at 1270kg, considering fully welded in cage rather than a half "meccano" cage isn't too bad.....Until you weigh a cup, I think Vic's car was close to 1100kg when we tried the scales at Brands.....impressive!

Get a Gt2 if you want power....

These cars are all about handling finesse......You could spend a fortune modifying them, but at the end of the day Porsche knew what they were doing and devleoped the RS extensively over the regular C2 of the day.

As we know values of standard over modified cars in the market place reflect this.

Can you notice the extra 42bhp in the concours arena..........Do they fill in the score card quicker? [:D]

Steve, watch out for the "new kid on the block".........In the words of the gorgeous Kate from Haysi Fantayzee........"Shiny-Shiny!" [:D]

I really need to take it easy on the '80's music...

Lost me now Paul, only listen to the golden age of music, the sixties.
having said that got me Stone Roses tickets for the summer fest.

I forgot how you are Steve [;)]

Enjoy the Roses, I saw them in the '90's In Manc & NYC.......I am giving them a miss this time round, only because I somehow doubt they will match up to their previous best?

Steve...I was implying that some of the best did their finest work in the late '80's to mid '90's and sadly are unlikely ever to reach such exalted heights again.......parallels with a certain German car company??? [;)]

Steve,floater is fine,bloater is not[:D]
I now have to take some marquee spikes and straps to stop the car blowing away in the wind

So the RSR weighs in at 995Kg giving an impressive 320 bhp per tonne, that's more than a 959 at 315 / tonne

Actually forgot to deduct driver weight, I'm guessing 75Kg, this makes 920Kg giving around 346 bhp per tonne, now that's just unfair []
