rear booster seat

I'm sure there is a Recaro full childs seat that will fit in the rear of a 944. We found that the best option for a booster seat was actually in the front ( maxi cosi) will fit in there even with the full High sided bolster sports seats.

Fotr youngsters that are out of a full seat but need a booster( guess about 4-6) a thin wedge of foam in the rear seat can be enough just to lift them up so the seat belt fits properly across their collarbone etc.

thanks for that .we have 2 other recaro kids seats in our every day cars and they dont fit....the booster seat is to long in the base to fit the 944

In my old car, I found that a 5 year old fitted perfectly in the back essay and I used the seatbelt strap that came with the booster seat to pull the diagonal belt into the correct position.

I faced the same problem when I acquired my first 944 last year - I have a 4 year old and a 7 year old.

I found that the 7 year old is OK without a booster, and bought the basic Halfords (£9.99) booster for the 4 year old - this booster is just the right width, but is a little long over the front edge of the seat.

The other issue I found is that as the rear seats are fitted with fixed three point belts, the top diagonal belt seems a bit loose across childrens bodies - any advice on that would be gratefully received!

Im sure that there is more than one current Brittax seat which fits. There was a thread on this only a few weeks ago where I named one model in particular. Unfortunately it was a personal recommendation that I was passing along, and I cant remember the model names but a bit of searching will bring it up.

The days when only Recaro seats fitted and we all paid £100+ for used Porsche branded Prinzes has long since passed (although I think that Brittax may use that name now too and one of their Prinzes fits in the back of a 944!)...

My 5 year old uses a seat belt adjuster strap to lower the diagonal belt across the shoulder & away from his neck in the rear of my 968 without the need of a booster.

My 2 year old has a full child seat in the front

I took the fabric cover off a polystyrene booster seat, cut the seat to size then recovered it.

We tried out a few seats and booster seats in the back last weekend at Kiddicare. The one we settled on for our three and a half year old was a Bubble Bum inflatable booster seat for £19.99. It fits the seat perfectly and raises her up to just the right height for the seatbelt to fit properly across her shoulder and lap. Wife and daughter both happy!

We tried a couple of Britax seats as well but couldn't find one that really fitted properly.

'Hope that helps.

We used a Bubble-Bum for a while also. When it burst, we took to using a cushion. After all, a booster is only a cushion, just in a less comfy shape and dubious fabric.

The britax that did 'fit' was a britax prince and on the britax website it used to come up if you entered a 968, just tried it though and it no longer does. It fits great in the front but not the best in the back (booster has a flat bottom and seat is curved), we do have a bubble bum for travelling though will try it in the 944!

I use a Recaro monza nova for 3 year old and a porsche prince for 1 year old (scandalous price paid, only myself to blame)
