Rear Brake Noise

Picked up 997 C2 Ser2 last week, 2,900 miles on the clock and have noticed a slight clunking noise from the right rear side when light braking. Sounds like pad knock. Went to the PC yesterday and Tech said that it was "quite common but as I'd bought the car from them he'd have a look and try to make it quieter but he could not guarantee it would go". This seems an odd statement as I dont believe that a £70k car should have clunks coming from the brakes! My neighbour has a Ser2 C2S and doesnt have the same issue. Has anyone else experienced this? The car is going back in on Tuesday for investigation.
