Rear Bushes for racing / track day etc.

Guys,
Some of you may know that I have weltmeister USA torsion bar end cap bushes on me S2. However they squeak like mad and will have to come out this coming winter. My options are as follows:
1) Replace with standard bushes, however I like the tight accurate feeling in the rear end (no sniggers).
2) Replace with Elephant racing bushes to match the set of Elephant racing bannana arm bushes I bought about 6 months ago and are currently still in the bag.
they came in.

Any ideas guys? Whats the feeling with regards to rear bushes and modified suspension. Has anyone else here fitted the Elephant racing bushes apart from Fen.

I can see here whats going to happen, the S2 will end up getting stripped / caged and turned into a full on track machine! and this despite only recently getting a nice black leather interior.

Neil, I've got the E.R. Polybronze bushes and they seem like a worthy addition. I say 'seem' as I did a few other things at the same time but I would say go for it. The whole thing just gets more precise.

This is what I am thinking. I am very dissapointed by the weltmeister bushes. They tightened the car up loads but within a couple of months they started to squeak and have just got worse and worse to the point where the car creaks rather then the suspension moving up and down smoothly. The Elephant racing bannana arm bushes that I have look superb. I just hope that the money spent on them and the newly required torsion bar end plate ones, and the cost of droping the torsion tube again is all worthwhile.

My rear koni are pretty much worn out maybe I should get me a set of KW v3 or bilstein cup at the same time, plenty to think about.

Well you get my vote of confidence on these parts. Just be mindful, if you already weren't, that if you do up the rears you will need to compensate for the fronts. However when I was first looking at purchasing some of these solid bushes but I couldn't afford the whole set, Karl from RacersEdge said, well he'd rather understeer off the track than oversteer into the wall, if you see what I'm saying? lol
Just pass Go, don't collect the 200pounds on the Bilsteins, go straight to the KW's.[:D]

The front is pretty tight now. I have KLA top mounts and strut brace, 968 caster blocks, 968 wishbones and some delrin type front bushes I got from Bert Gear years ago. The shocks are stock with koni inserts and H&R springs. My 2nd biggest worry after the last track outing was that even with 6mm spacers on the front I was getting some tyre rub on the strut/spring. We reckon it was caused by tyre roll, and with more camber on the front will hopefully be less evident i.e. more squidge then roll. This is with 225 wide tyres though on 16" rims.
