Hi all,
First post so forgive me if it's in the wrong place.
I am trying to replace the rear droplinks on my C2.
I assumed that the top bolt, that threads into the welded nut at the bottom of the shock absorber, would be easy to undo. However, after two hours with a spanner I have managed to round of the outer nut and it's now stuck fast. Plan B is to grind off the end of the drop link leaving just the bolt and rounded nut. I am then going to try to remove this again using a socket.
Can anyone tell me if there is a reason, other than age and rust, why this top bolt is so stiff. The bottom end was removed easily.
Cheers in advance for any help you can offer me.
Trying to get it done before the WEC event at Silverstone in April.
Gerry
