Rear Floor Pan Bulges

I'm in the market for a 3.2 Carrera.

I've read Peter morgan Buyers Guide which suggestsI look behind the front seats for signs of accident damageto the undertray in the form of cracked underseal or warped floor pan.

I've inspected 2 cars so far and both have had bulges showing damage.

This was suggested to me as damage caused by incorect jacking - which souns feasible. - Does anybody else have any views or experiences of this.

Thanks in anticiaption

The same morons who fit tyres on alloy wheels and damage them do the same to the cars... its not their car, who cares? Staggering isn't?

This is why I have stuck to the same tyre place for many years (probably about 14 by now !), as they have always taken care of my wheels (inside balancing) and jacking points. This seems to be partly because they like the cars I take there.

i think you will find that most of the bulges you've seen are from improper jacking.
if you see the bulges have a good look under the car and you will more then likely see where the jack has been placed.

good luck steve
