Rear foglight wiring

Having driven to Paris (from London) and back last Saturday in the most appalling weather, I thought I would check that both rear foglights worked. Perhaps not surprisingly only the O/S does - C16 car.
This is all very well for those that do not take their cars and drive on the 'wrong side' of the road so I have checked and swapped bulbs etc without success.
Does anyone please know if the the N/S needs to be programmed in some way to work
Any help would be much appreciated
Best regards
Simon

If it's anything like the Boxster - and I bet it is...
You would need to run a wire across between the lights.

The wiring diagrams show wires to both sides being connected. The feed comes directly from the light switch, so there can't be any programming involved. If you aren't getting a feed to the nearside, then the simplest way would be to do what Mark says, and run a separate wire across. If you want the pin numbers of the plug/socket connections and the wire colours, email me with the model year of your car.

Thanks Guys
Yes please Richard, it's a March 2003 996T. On other cars I have the bulb hole is actually blanked off until I opened it up and put a bulb in and all works immediately.
This is curious as the bulb was actually there (which I have tested and swapped).
Look forward to hearing from you
Many thanks
Simon

Twin rear fog lights disguise your brake lights, hence why only one is operable.

I see your point about the rear fog being on the wrong side when driving on the right tho.
